I must confess it has been a while since my last confession....I mean blog.
A lot of people do not realize the impact of their words. Some of you have already started competing but our gym has not. With competition right around the corner, think before you speak to the total stranger next to you at a competition.
It may be difficult at times but try and be positive. If you don't have a positive attitude, don't expect your child to either. They sense what you are feeling and it reflects in their performance.
As a former Coach (not cheer) and the wife of a baseball coach, there is no one person to blame. Think before you blame that flyer who fell in a stunt. And think before you speak and think of who you are speaking to.
I talk to cheer mom's everyday and I have some stories that can make your head spin. Nowadays every phone has a video camera, you may be sitting thee bashing a coach, athlete or another parent and it can all be caught on camera and emailed to your coaches! You could be sitting at a competition venting about how disappointed you are and it could be someone's grandma!
I hope you all had a cheerful Christmas and good luck in 2012!
